Whitney Gardens offers an easy, scenic stroll along gentle paths, with benches for rest and reflection, through our beautiful 7-acre Washington Botanical Garden. Plan to spend one to two hours enjoying the gardens, and don’t miss our large gazebo with free Wi-Fi – perfect for a picnic or quiet moment.

Early blooms start showing color as early as February, and the fragrant blooms of late April and early May make every visit a sensory delight. Peak bloom occurs around Mother’s Day, with many rhododendrons, azaleas, kalmias, and flowering trees continuing to bloom through June and into early July. The autumn season, from mid-October to early November, is equally captivating, as the vibrant foliage sets the garden aglow. Don’t miss the spawning chum salmon in our creek from late November through December!

What our Visitors are Saying: “If you find yourself driving the 101 near Brinnon, you would be remiss not to stop at Whitney Gardens & Nursery. They have acres of gorgeous landscaping that envelopes you as soon as you arrive. My husband and I took a day trip there a couple of weeks ago. We were amazed by the beauty and tranquility of the grounds. Though we had heard only glowing reviews, I don’t think anything could have prepared me for the experience. If you are a PNW gardener looking for an adventure or even just a Rhododendron enthusiast, put Whitney Gardens on your to do list. You won’t be disappointed!” Alissa M.
